Systematic Theology—L. Berkhof

Title: Systematic Theology

Author: L. Berkhof

Publisher: Eerdmans

Year: 1941

Page(s): 58*, 60**

*The Scriptures cited are in reference to God’s independence and the rest of creation’s dependence on Him. Upon looking up one of the verses referenced, Acts 7:25, which reads, “He supposed that his brothers would understand that God was giving them salvation by his hand, but they did not understand,” I was confident that the author meant to cite Acts 17:25 which reads, “nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything” and makes greater sense in the context. This may not have been the author’s mistake but an oversight by the editor/publisher on the accidental omission of one number.

**While I realize that typos were probably more common pre word processor, it is a typo nonetheless.
